Jerry is a baseball historian and author who will be talking on the legacy of Dick Allen’s career in Philadelphia; the tensions, problems and misunderstandings that undermined his years there. He will be looking at racial attitudes within the franchise, the city and the fans. Allen’s story is more complex than most imagine and is in need of a reassessment.

The Insectarium Travel Show program will bring a selection of living insects and other arthropods to the Multipurpose room for an educational and fun presentation. Giant millipedes, hissing cockroaches, amazing walking sticks, furry tarantulas, and more will amaze attendees and turn them on to the incredible world of arthropods. Beautiful butterflies and mysterious moths will also be displayed.
